MatNIC macOS

Modified on Wed, 16 Jul, 2025 at 11:18 AM

If a customer gets a message reporting a file from an unknown developer upon downloading and running any command in MatNIC, or if Matlab displays an error message stating that the function does not exist, these issues are a result of the security settings applied to the downloaded files, and can be easily resolved through a simple adjustment by following the steps below:

  1. Open the Terminal application on your MacOS.
  2. Execute the following command:
xattr -d -r com.apple.quarantine path_to_matnic

Please replace path_to_matnic with the absolute path to the directory where the MatNIC files have been downloaded.

This command will ensure that your system recognizes all MatNIC files as safe to use. Should you require further assistance or have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us.
