1- Download latest version of NIC2 from here: https://www.neuroelectrics.com/products/research/software
2- Follow the next step command:  
sudo chmod -R 755 path/to/app

Where path/to/app is the path to NICMAC_X.X.X.X_Setup.app



If a message appears, stating that the software can not be installed, then follow the next steps:


  1. Open System Preferences > Security & Privacy.
  2. In the General tab, you’ll see a message saying the file was blocked.
  3. Click “Allow Anyway”.
  4. Then, double-click the Setup_NICx.x.x.xx file again to open it.
  5. If the warning appears again, choose “Open” when prompted.
This message appears because the app hasn’t been signed by an identified Apple developer. If the file comes from a trusted source (like Neuroelectrics), it is safe to proceed.


After this, you might not find the NIC executable in the Finder asit was installed in a profile´s folder.

Navigate to the folder, find Neuroelectrics --> NIC --> open the executable.
